Bibbe Hansen comes from a well known family of remarkable artists. Her late father was Fluxus artist Al Hansen, her son Beck is a musician and son Channing a visual artist. Bibbe is a writer, performer and visual artist. As a teenager she was a member of the group “The Whippets” with Jack Kerouac's daughter Jan Kerouac, releasing the 7" single Go Go Go With Ringo in 1964. That same year, while visiting galleries with her father Al, she met Andy Warhol who decided then and there to make a film based on her experiences called Prison where she starred alongside Edie Sedgwick, Pat Hartley and Marie Menken. Bibbe went on to appear in numerous other Warhol films including Restaurant, 10 Beautiful Girls, 10 More Beautiful Girls, and sat for two of Warhol's Screen Tests.
